About Me …

I HAVE WORKED FOR MANY YEARS AS A LIVE IN CHEF IN LARGE PRIVATE HOUSES IN THE UK AND FRANCE. I NOW LIVE ON ANGLESEY AND WORK FREELANCE AS A PRIVATE CHEF AND OUTSIDE CATERER.

I come from a family where food was important, not just the fuel for life, but the stuff of celebration and solace. We were always trying new things, reviving old recipes and experimenting. I studied Hotel Management, but quickly realised that it was the creativity of the kitchen where my true passion lay.

It is a huge privilege to be invited into peoples lives to cook for them, sometimes for years , a week or just  for one occasion.

I have cooked for a wide variety of clients  in many different venues; stately homes, country houses with fantastic kitchen gardens, a fort, a castle, a chateau and on private estates some with their own beaches.

I worked in a writer’s residential creative studio, a spud pub in Ibiza,  have catered for large groups  in remote locations, assisted Jackie Kearney “the hungry gecko”with her wonderful asian street food at festivals and ran a delicatessen.

Learning from all this has taught me to value the freshness of ingredients, to be imaginative and creative, sometimes miles from shops and reliant on what is to hand.

I love making  my own jams, chutneys, preserves, smoked salmon,  sausages and I bake bread. I love feeding people.
